The emmahub is a workshop format initiated and organized by emma for the first time in 2023. The objective of the emmahub workshops is to create a venue to reflect on emerging trends, challenges, and innovations in media management and the media industry. The emmahub workshops aim to bring together the scientific community, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and various stakeholders for knowledge transfer and synergy building. In the emmahub workshops, particular importance is attached to the digital and innovative dimensions of media making on a pan-European level.
Through its thematic focus, emmahub prioritizes fostering stronger relations with media management researchers and media practitioners (editors, journalists, media managers, etc.), as well as with other civil society organizations. By bringing academia and civil society together with the media industry, emmahub provides a forum where new research, publication, and project ideas proliferate. Finally, emmahub workshops promote emma outside emma member countries and reach out to under-represented regions within the emma community to establish new forms of academic collaboration across different networks.
