Jonas Weber

Jonas Weber is a team member in the Department of Media and Communication Management at the Technische Universität Ilmenau. He has been a research associate and prospective doctoral student since 2021. Before, he studied the German-French Bachelor’s programme “European Media Culture” at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and Université Lumière Lyon 2. Afterwards, he earned his Master’s degree in “Media Management” at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and spent one semester abroad at the Latvian Academy of Culture (Latvijas Kultūras Akadēmija). He wrote his master’s thesis on digital journalism platforms which is a topic that he continued to work on during his dissertation. Further, his research interests lie in media industries, journalism, media platforms, and future technologies.
